Another election promise fulfillment in the works:
Tories offer plan for fixed election dates
OTTAWA — The Conservative government is canvassing the opposition parties to see whether they would support fixed dates for federal elections, The Globe and Mail has learned.
It wasn’t just fixed election dates we were worried about—it was fixed elections that worried us conservatives. Between the Liberals’ adscam sponsorship rip-off, and the state-run liberal-left-staffed CBC and other liberal-left media, and the all-liberal civil service and judicial system and government bureaucracy and more, there’s much to be concerned about still.
But this is a start.
