Thank goodness the media is getting feedback about the NDP/Liberal Party merger and the NDP budget and its impending doom, so that we all have a clear understanding of the sentiments out there in the country, and we can get a well-rounded sense of what’s going on.
Unfortunately the mainstream media reporter, Colin Perkel of Canadian Press, must have run out of typewriter ribbon because he apparently didn’t manage to get one conservative view into his story. Not one. Yet amazingly he did manage to stumble upon five left-wingers who are all in favor of the liberal-left merger and budget. What a coinkidink.
Let’s review:
The Canadian Federation of Students: “That’s an extremely positive thing…”
Jim Green [neo-communist Vancouver city councillor]: said it would be a “tragedy” for Canada’s homeless if the budget failed to pass…
[ulta leftist] Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives: also hailed the agreement: “There is no way that this deal represents the abandonment of fiscal probity…”
The New Democrats “also say… [great things!]”
Toronto Disaster Relief Committee[?]: “also fear…Failure to pass…”
And not one conservative could be found in the entire nation. Not one. Not from the Taxpayers’ Federation, the National Citizens folks, the Chamber of Commerce, the Conservative Party was apparently unavailable for comment today, and nobody from the Fraser Institute answered the phone.
I’m always available. Sitting right here. Give me a shout, Mr. Perkel. I can help you balance the story out a little. OH! Perhaps that’s not what your goal was? I see. Very good then. Vote liberal.
