Quebec’s socialist, separatist, arguably Canada’s best-known Canada-hater, and former Parti Quebecois leader Jacques Parizeau has reportedly (CTV on-air reports) joined the extremists of the Left and “endorsed” the Left-Wing coup kook coalition.

Parizeau predicted in 1991 that the Bloc would eventually create utter chaos in Canada and its Parliament—an “Italian-style parliament” in Ottawa— a place so fundamentally deranged and incapable of functioning, that it would ultimately lead to the breakup—the destruction—of Canada. “It’s in the interest of sovereigntists that not too many people still look at Ottawa as though it was a stable, serious government,” is what he said.
Huh.
Jacques Parizeau – is responsible for such socialist extremist (when do we get to say Communist?) moves as the government takeover—oops sorry—the “nationalization” of Hydro-Québec (now their state-owned hydro-electric utility), and the “nationalization” of Asbestos Corporation mines, while Premier of Quebec. He’s the one who, after losing the 1995 sovereignty vote, said he and his side lost because of money and “the ethnic vote”—or those non-French-speaking Quebecers. Some said he was drunk but I think he was just speaking his mind.
So at least he’s another voice for tolerance and multicultural-luvin’ and non-bigotry and sanity and stability and sobriety.
Do I smell a Senatorial seat? You betcha.
