Liberal-leftists often rely not on the people to decide things (the folks always want the “wrong” things …like beer and popcorn), but on themselves—their liberal-stacked courts—and apparently on what they themselves feel personally—and then we’ll get what they think we deserve. Apparently it is important that they impose upon Canadians those things that conform to their world view, and to censor those things that don’t.
For example, as we’ve found out this morning on the west coast, if they don’t agree with the mail you’re getting, the state-employed workers and their union will simply not deliver it, choosing instead to walk off the job.
I wonder if this is why I haven’t heard from the National Citizens Coalition or the Fraser Institute for a while.
Vancouver posties walk out, upset with ‘homophobic’ mailout
VANCOUVER – Vancouver postal workers have walked off the job to protest an anti-gay pamphlet they’re being asked to deliver to hundreds of homes.
They say the brochure distributed by a religious group amounts to hate mail—but they face disciplinary action if they refuse to handle it.
Ken Mooney, the Vancouver president of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, says the walkout sends a message that posties will not “participate in the dissemination of homophobic material.”
The pamphlet says AIDS is “the plague of the 21st century” and calls homosexuality “ungodly, unhealthy and unnatural.”Mooney says postal workers are “deeply offended” by the mailing, which he says subjects members of the gay community to “scorn and hate.”
Canada Post says it can’t censor the mail and notes letter carriers can be suspended without pay if they refuse to handle the publication.

When asked “what about the people who want to receive the pamphlet”, rep said they shouldn’t be able to. He doesn’t believe they should be able to. (?)
They are walking off the job to support their g/l/t brethren.
So now they control the mail too???
