Excellent robust economic engine in U.S.

Of course the liberal media portrays the U.S. economy as one which is in horrible shape.  And of course that’s a lie.

The latest figures from the United States shows that the conservative Republicans are letting that economy progress very well despite the odds, thanks in large part to the Bush tax cuts.

First Quarter GDP Revised Up to 3.8 Percent

Robust new-home building and stronger exports helped the U.S. economy expand at a faster-than-expected 3.8 percent annual rate in the first quarter, the Commerce Department said on Wednesday as it revised its growth estimate up for a second straight time.

Initially, the department said gross domestic product — the broadest measure of total economic activity within U.S. borders — grew at a 3.1 percent rate but it pushed that up to 3.5 percent a month ago before finally revising it to match the 3.8 percent rate posted in the closing quarter of 2004.

The final figure outpaced Wall Street economists’ forecasts for a 3.7 percent rate of going into the spring than previously thought. Most forecasters say GDP will continue expanding at rates around 3.5 percent in coming quarters, despite some strain from costlier energy prices.

[…] In addition, exports grew at an 8.9 percent rate instead of 7.2 percent calculated a month ago — also nearly three times the 3.2 percent rate of increase in the final quarter of 2004. […]

Liberal Canadians who prefer Soviet-style planned economies would normally dislike hearing all that news because liberals are largely anti-American and are not fond of corporate profits and capitalism in general, but chin-up, libs! —the American economy really practically drives our economy so things could continue to look pretty good here too!

For a while anyway—until liberal things kick in like: Kyoto spending, and extra aid to African military dictatorships to appease Bono and other rock stars (and rockin’ liberal voters in general!), and all that extra nanny-state social program spending they’ve promised, and the new socialist daycare and indoctrination program, and North Korean-style healthcare spending, increased state-run media spending, further enlargement of the already huge government and its huge staffing levels, and the additional sponsorships and subsidies and grants and loans to citizens and corporations to get every sector of Canadian completely hooked on government support, and the government funding of gay and lesbian groups so they can fight against religious groups and conservatives, and of course unlimited abortions because that’s a Canadian virtue….. these things take a long time to effect an economy.

Let’s hope the conservative Republicans stay in power for a long time in the U.S.
