Everyone’s equal

“Peaceful” train bombers and murdering terrorists (or as the state-run CBC or Toronto Star columnists might call them, “so-called militants” in “George Bush’s so-called global war on terror”) indiscriminately slaughtered hundreds of totally innocent people in India yesterday and maimed many hundreds more.  On purpose.  Simply to kill.  To terrorize.  To maim as many people as possible.  Children.  Old folks.  Despite India’s nonexistence in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Liberals are still trying to connect the dots to George Bush, which explains all the glum faces on the state-un CBC today.

Meanwhile, after Lebanon —as led by Syria and Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorists —killed and kidnapped Israelis in Israel, peaceful, loving Islamic Lebanese men, women, and children, once again celebrated death and destruction and kidnapping and terrorist acts, as they always do, by dancing in the street (exactly like they did immediately after September 11 2001 attacks and declaration of war against America), shooting their machine guns in the air, lighting off small bombs, and of course handing out candy to the children.  The adults participated by providing the children with machine guns and ammunition and telling them to shout “death to America” and “death to Israel”, which of course they did on their own anyway just out of habit and their daily education.

I liked how the CTV.ca news staff, which seems all but clear on what, exactly, is going on here, describe the terrorists in their opening paragraph today:

Israeli ground troops entered southern Lebanon on Wednesday to search for two soldiers captured by militant Hezbollah guerrillas during border clashes earlier in the day, Israeli government officials said.

I’ve never met a “guerilla” who wasn’t a “militant”, so that’s a little redundant, but particularly not one from an organization, Hezbollah, which is officially recognized by all sane nations (including even a very reluctant Canada under the former Liberal government of terrorist appeasement) as a terrorist organization

As long as you don’t simply call them “terrorists”.

Note too that they “captured” soldiers, as if terrorists entering ones country and kidnapping uniformed soldiers is now officially a legitimate military exercise, more noble and defensible than properly and civilly detaining red-handed terrorists who attacked your country, and holding them in a clean civil prison in Guantanamo under the purview of the United Nations and the Red Cross and the media.

So far I have failed to hear Jack Layton or Libby Davies or any of their you’ve got to be kidding party ilk, nor Irwin Cotler or Bob Rae or Bill Graham —or any liberal —demand that the Red Cross have access to the kidnapped Israeli soldiers, or demand that their wives and family have visiting privileges, as liberals routinely do with such aplomb, albeit entirely wrong-headedly, when it comes to the legitimate terrorist prisoners in the United States.

And yet they constantly draw moral equivalents between the terrorists and Americans, with many liberals turning so upside down as to claim that America is the terrorist.

imageThe state-run CBC is running their news item about the Israel/terrorist conflict over the informative banner “DIPLOMACY’S FAILURE”, as if this conflict is the result of an equal failure on the part of Israel on one side, and the terrorists in Syria, Lebanon, Iran, and the Hamas-led leadership of the Palestinians, who all officially believe that Israel has no right to exist and should be annihilated, on the other.  Lebanon declares war on Israel by engaging in an act of war, and Israel, it is understood by the CBC, has failed to be “diplomatic”.

Then later they saw fit to give a voice on the state-run media to a Lebanese government Hezbollah MP named Nawar Al Sahele.  Even he called it “kidnappings”.

The CBC and other liberal-left media in Canada and elsewhere should stand up and acknowledge the global threat that is Islamist extremism, and stop pandering to them as if they are our equals, or even our betters. They should help educate Canadians about the veracity of the global war fronts—Afghanistan and Iraq—a part of which we are playing a vital and important role, and one which we should never, ever give up, nor even speak of giving up.
