The liberal media has been trying its hardest —the state-run CBC Newsworld running this bottom third headline this morning (at the CBC they now refer to mornings as “mournings”) regarding the Conservative government announcement this morning of $1.2 billion for new military trucks: “$1.2 billion for new wheels?”— to marginalize and trivialize the effort to rebuild our military at long last.
Liberals would prefer that we spend the money on social programs—you know, just like the old Soviet Union did so successfully and they still do in Castro’s Cuba, where many liberals vacation (.WMV video file), supporting that war mongering communist dictatorship and obscene human rights violator. But at least those Cubans are anti-American.
But even in federal NDP territory, Nova Scotia, the people think it’s money well-spent. And yet we know that the you’ve got to be kidding party is dominated by backward-thinking organic food crunching peacenicks who wish the terrorist Saddam Hussein was still in power and who would just as soon offer Osama bin Laden a cup of tea and a bun rather than kill him and his terrorist cabal. Then, of course, spend the military money on gay, lesbian, and transgendered lifestyle promotion, education, a national gay tolerance program, and free federal housing for those folks in exchange for decorating tips.
