On the state-run CBC division of the liberals, Ann McLellan, the Liberal government Deputy Prime Minister, just confessed to state-employed news anchor and reporter David Grey that she was not even consulted prior to Prime Minister Paul Martin’s hideous mid-TV-debate announcement last week that he would ban the Notwithstanding Clause from Canada.
And yet it’s “their highest priority”, according to Mr. Dithers.
Apparently he need not speak to minions such as the Deputy Prime Minister before making such pronouncements from on high (and as regular readers know, when I say “on high” and I’m talking about Liberals, one can never be sure if they are not in fact high).
And as I mentioned before, that “highest priority” also didn’t make it into the official Liberal Party platform.
