Democrat Senate leader Harry Reid: don’t worry, Obama’s just a “light-skinned … Negro”

Liberal Democrat senate leader Harry Reid, or as Rush Limbaugh properly calls him, “Dingy Harry”, admits in a new book that he said during the last presidential campaign that he’s not worried about Barack Obama being able to get elected because after all, he’s just a “light-skinned” African American, with “no Negro dialect”, bra, “unless he wants to have one” (which we’ve found out he does, sometimes, actually, like when he was campaigning to African Americans.  For that matter, Hillary Clinton also adopted a “negro dialect” when she spoke to African Americans).

Republican National Committee leader Michael Steele, a medium to relatively dark-toned “Negro”, says Reid should resign, since the Democrats, with the help of their adoring media, recently demanded and ultimately forced Republicans to dump their (white) Senate leader Mitch McConnell when he was (wrongly) accused of saying racially insensitive things back in ‘02.

Steele Calls on Reid to Resign as Senate Leader After Obama ‘Negro’ Comment

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele on Sunday called on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to resign for describing Barack Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign as “light-skinned” with “no Negro dialect” unless he wants to have one.

Steele also accused Democrats of hypocrisy on the matter.

“There is this standard where Democrats feel that they can say these things and they can apologize when it comes from the mouths of their own. But if it comes from anyone else, it is racism,” Steele told “Fox News Sunday.”

“If (Senate Minority Leader) Mitch McConnell had said those very words that this chairman and this president would be calling for his head, and they would be labeling every Republican in the country as a racist for saying exactly what this chairman has just said,” Steele continued. …

The next sentence in the story, possibly meant to shore-up the view they hope exists in the public’s mind that Reid’s comments were utterly benign, and that he has and should have nothing to fear about his future as a politician, actually serves to prove that Democrats are abject hypocrites (at very best).

Reid went into damage control over the weekend, mobilizing a raft of supportive statements both in Washington, D.C., and Nevada.

Democrats support this statement?  Wow!  So they support what they would call totally racist statements, as long as it’s THEM who are saying them.

And the media buys this crap?  And you liberals buy this?

That’s just awesome.
