Deficits: BC Liberals voted against it before they voted for it.

Hey!  This ain’t liberal!  Massive, unprecedented government spending programs—like building the 2010 Olympics;  and dumping untold billions into socialist healthcare;  and that neat carbon tax he foisted on British Columbians, adding to the price of gas and heating fuel and almost everything —that’s all supposed to make recessions go away!

B.C. legislature returns early to turf budget law

VICTORIA, B.C.—The B.C. Liberals return to the legislature today to undo their much-touted balanced-budget law and clear the path for a deficit budget next week.

Premier Gordon Campbell once staked his political career on slaying budget deficits, but he’s been forced to admit B.C. is bleeding red ink with the rest of the world.

In spite of building the Olympics and accompanied by what just might be the most “infrastructure spending” that any government has embarked on in the past number of decades, all that spending didn’t work?  And starting that fabulous carbon tax plan which we’ve been paying… that didn’t create all the “green jobs” and that “green economy”?  Nor lower the temperature?  How could this happen?  That was so dang “progressive”!

Weird.  Maybe the government just needs to spend MORE!  I mean like remember the old Soviet Union?  It wasn’t communism that didn’t work—they just had crappy crop-growing weather for 75 years!
