CTV purposely fails to mention their “political expert” is a committed left-wing loser

Hat tip to Greig.

This report written by a fella named Mr. CTV.ca News Staff misinforms you inasmuch as it purposely fails to declare that their source for “expert analysis” of U.S. politics is a failed liberal-left anti-war loser candidate for the Democratic Party, which of course the far-left state-owned CBC has also used.  I pointed out their left-wing hack journalism re this same “expert” back in January.  Read it—it exemplifies the far-left bias in Canada’s news media on just another normal day; and helps you realize you are being totally misled and misinformed by Canada’s news media.

These excerpts from the CTV.ca story today exemplify how the left-wing media in this country—CTV in this case—misinforms you through omission of pertinent facts like the left-wing political affiliations of those who are asked to “objectively analyze” a political situation:

U.S. presidential race into final eight-week sprint

Updated Fri. Sep. 5 2008 8:54 AM ET

CTV.ca News Staff

Republican nominee Sen. John McCain and his running mate Gov. Sarah Palin hit the campaign trail immediately after his acceptance speech last night as the U.S. presidential race entered its final eight weeks.

But an American political expert wonders whether McCain’s Thursday night speech did enough to draw in the critical Independent voters he needs to defeat Democrat Sen. Barack Obama on Nov. 4.

“The Republican brand is very diminished,” historian Allan Lichtman of American University told CTV’s Canada AM on Friday, noting only about one-third of U.S. voters are Republicans these days.

“John McCain was as good as John McCain could be last night,” he said, but added that Palin’s “electrifying” speech of Wednesday overshadowed McCain.

A bigger problem for McCain is he needed to accomplish a deft balancing act, Lichtman said

[…]

The latter “didn’t quite ring true after two days of sarcastic, mocking and sometimes very nasty attacks on Barack Obama,“Lichtman said.

McCain also delivered less substance in his speech before 20,000 Republicans than Obama did a week ago during his acceptance speech to more than 80,000 Democrats in Denver, he said.

“I think the Independents and crossover Democrats that (McCain) must get to win this election might still be a little skeptical,” Lichtman said.

I wrote, in part, in January (http://proudtobecanadian.ca/8021/):

image A later report on the CBC once again called upon the political expertise of “an author and political historian”.  In other words, someone with no particular bent, politically.  A historian!  Someone who is neutral, most might think.  Allan Lichtman.

Wikipedia:

On September 28, 2005, Lichtman formally announced his candidacy for the United States Senate from Maryland. He ran as a progressive, opposing the War in Iraq and calling for an immediate and safe withdrawal of U.S. troops.

  […]

Lichtman lost in the primary to Ben Cardin. According to the final tally, he received 6,919, or 1.2% of the vote, landing him in 6th place in a field of 18.

Not my kind of “objective” “expert”.

Not sure if the objectives CBC producers saw these but don’t miss the YouTube video of the historian and his wife getting arrested as a political protester.

Or the “historian’s” campaign ad.

You are being brainwashed by these left-wing media outlets like CTV and CBC.  Watch Fox News Channel for a taste of fair and balanced news, and you’ll be SHOCKED at how hideously left-wing-biased the “news” is in this country.  Everybody I’ve spoken to in Canada about Fox News Channel has said the same thing—that they were SHOCKED at the difference, and at what they’ve missed and how they’ve been treated by CTV, CBC, Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, etc.

People should be outraged.  And they should stop watching or reading or listening to news that effectively makes them more stupid.  Canadians are literally being brainwashed by left-wing agenda-driving zealots in the news media.
