Conservatives hit by dirty tricks e-mail campaign

Why would anyone bother, when the liberal-left and the gay ‘marriage’ industry has got the mainstream media to broadcast this phoney message for them already?

Conservatives hit by dirty tricks e-mail campaign

OTTAWA (CP) – The Conservatives say they’re the victims of a dirty tricks e-mail campaign designed to make them look anti-gay, and they’ve asked for an investigation.

The party asked the House of Commons on Friday to find out how someone got hold of their mass-mailing code to access all its MPs and staffers. MP John Reynolds said the e-mail, from a company calling itself Creative Communications, uses the party’s logo and letterhead and is designed to look like it came from party headquarters.

“It’s dirty tricks and we’ve asked the sergeant-at-arms to look at it to see if it can be traced.”

Reynolds said attempts to find Creative Communications have failed.

The e-mail invites MPs to print up the contents, which Reynolds called anti-gay, and send it to constituents using their free mailing privilege.

Reynolds said a political opponent is behind it, but wouldn’t elaborate.

The e-mail contains a suggested brochure for MPs to send out to battle what it calls the “lie about equality rights” and the need to do an end run around the media.
