Conservative-friendly Michael Moore-mocking movie “An American Carol”—October 3

The fair and balanced CBC has not reviewed it yet, so I’m not sure if it’s good.  But it does have a “Canadian” connection, since among the conservative-friendly stars is Leslie Nielsen, so the CBC might review it.  Then again, it didn’t receive any Telefilm Canada funding, or National Film Board funding, or any Canada Council grants, or Ontario Liberal-Ass Film Board funding, and the image logo doesn’t appear at the end, so maybe not. On the other hand, CBC shows Michael Moore “documentaries” over and over and over again on their massive state-owned network, so maybe they will.

This movie trailer was shown on Fox News Channel while the CBC was in committee trying to find something wrong with it, and trying to figure out a way of ignoring it or dismissing it as right-wing propaganda created by capitalists and the “religious right” and Haliburton.

Here’s the scoop:  A genius “documentary” film maker named Michael Malone (geddit?) plans to release his new “documentary” on July 4, called “Die You American Pigs”.  Then the story takes on the tone of A Christmas Carol as Malone is visited by the ghosts of those who actually know and appreciate the meaning of America.  Among them, Leslie Nielsen, Kevin Farley (brother of Chris Farley of SNL… guess who he’s playing in the movie…), Kelsey Grammer, Jon Voight, Dennis Hopper, James Woods, several cameos, and… Bill O’Reilly in his acting debut.  The film is by the Hollywood liberal-turned-Republican David Zucker of Naked Gun, Scary Movie, and Airplane fame.

At 2000 screens in the U.S. on October 3rd 2008.  The trailer made me pee my pants.

Nice widescreen version here at Yahoo.com
