Cinnamon Stillwell, a member of ProudToBeCanadian’s columnist team and a friend of this web site, has received an email death threat (see below) from radical extremists as a result of her latest column at SFGate.com (not posted here yet due only to SFGate.com’s time-delay restrictions).
It is a column called “Today’s True Feminists” and is one of her best works yet.
In it she asks where the real “feminists” are in the war against Islamofascist terrorists. They protest not the Islamofascists, but America, and any western nation’s involvement against the Islamofascists.
She rightly deduces that they fail to admit who the real heroes and heroines are, for doing so would be to “acknowledge that the United States can be a force for good, and this must be avoided at all costs, even at the expense of women’s rights. What they don’t seem to realize is that the war they oppose is a battle against the very forces of fascism they routinely decry.”

As we marked another International Women’s Day this month, commemorations took place around the world. In the West, the feminist movement held its own events to honor the occasion.
Here in San Francisco, a group called the Radical Women honored International Women’s Day with a March 11 “Tribute to Sister Resisters.” These included a “playwright, actor, and model for ‘Women en Large: Images of Fat Nudes,’” an “abortion advocate,” a “labor and anti-war feminist poet” and a “retired socialist feminist educator and revolutionary writer.” In other words, the same old tired ‘60s model ad nauseam.
Meanwhile, the real radical women in the world go largely unremarked by the feminist movement. Today’s true heroines are those who do battle with the gender apartheid, violence and oppression practiced against women in the Muslim world. There, women face not just phantom infringements to their civil rights and perceived slights to their sensitivities, but threats to their lives. With the call for reform in the Muslim world come the inevitable requirements of round-the-clock security.

Cinnamon further informs me that the death threat came from a Canadian address, which may or may not mean anything given that in the techno-world nearly anything is possible. But I imagine Canadian authorities will have to be involved in tracking this one down.
Cinnamon doesn’t deserve this, contrary to what many on the liberal-left will contend —particularly in her far-left-liberal homeland of San Francisco — as many of them contend that America deserved 9/11. And while they may try to shut her up, as any number of other groups constantly try to do to those of us in the conservative set who speak out for America and traditional western values and for what’s right, she will, I’m sure, not be silenced by these radicals. In fact it serves only to confirm that she’s making gains and pinching nerves.
Cinnamon Stillwell came to my attention when I read her column called The Making Of A 9/11 Republican. It’s a must read.
Incidentally, Cinnamon’s latest SFGate.com column (at least that which is available to us) is now posted in our columnist section. It may be no less contentious.
