Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon says Canada will not ask the US to repatriate Omar Khadr to Canada for trial. Cannon says “this individual is allegedly a murderer” & we will fully respect the American process. When he was 15, Khadr was captured in an Afghanistan firefight & charged with killing a US soldier.
