The news story I blogged about earlier today (two posts down, I headlined it “Canada’s liberal-left gift of socialist healthcare: so hideous it’s making news down south”) has grown in significance as the news story has been picked up by CBS News and thus the story has expanded its readership massively. (Is this the first CBS News story in recent history that takes shots at a non – George Bush crisis? Have they already begun reforming themselves now that Mr. Rather-biased is rather gone?)
Liberals in Canada aren’t embarrassed by this story—as we know, practically nothing embarrasses them—they respond to this sort of thing by dismissively informing us that it is simply further proof that more government control and more taxpayer money and more taxes are required to be paid by the “rich” and “the corporations” so that still more cash can be pumped into the decrepit failure of a socialist health system (well, they don’t call it that—they call it “the best health care system in the world” in order to sucker you into voting for them, but you know, potato, sucker…).
Bear in mind full credit for this system goes solely to the liberal-left in Canada who demand (by law) that we all stand by it, exactly as it is, as if it were sacred to our nation. Or as if it “worked”.
Let’s review: to liberals, the system is perfect—it just needs hundreds of billions more dollars to fix it, not that it’s broken. Oh yes and if it were to be adjusted even one iota, then it would as if by magic and by necessity turn into an “American-style” healthcare system, which would be calamitous. Liberals prefer the North Korean-style healthcare system we currently have. Liberals also don’t want you to know that 28 countries in the world have universal access health care just like Canada’s, the difference being that ours is the most expensive on earth, and among the worst on earth. But they seem to like it that way—it legitimizes the liberal-left in this country, they think. (See here.)
For further research, see the budget of the state-run CBC, which also got more money this year to produce more of what Canadians don’t watch and don’t even care about. Actually, simply review “Canadian Government”, and “How Canadians vote”.
