CBC trots out anti-penalty, anti-drug war proponents in advance

Just in case you CBC viewers haven’t already decided to take the opposing view to the Conservatives’ regarding the war on drugs, the far-leftist state-run media is trotting out anti-conservative drug strategy “experts” to tell you how to think, which manifestly involves disagreeing with whatever the Conservatives might say in the press announcement later today.  Once again, that’s disagreeing.  Coincidentally, that’s also the CBC’s strategy

And if I understand the liberals correctly, their strategy is to cut and run and give up the war —a solution which we should expect from them by now— then treat the increasing numbers of addicts with clean, new government cash infusions, injected directly into the blood stream through clean needles in government-run “safe injection” sites.  Oh and give more government money to all other people, especially Indians.

Meanwhile, CTV won’t be happy with their readers this day, and will soon change their poll to something better, like “Will Bush win the next election?”

CTV: Tories to outline $64-million anti-drug strategy

And also meanwhile, failed Liberal Party candidate and apparent Martian Marc Garneau doesn’t have anything to say about the drug strategy—he thinks it’s a priority for Canada to have a Space Strategy!

Additional Thoughts:

The “war on drugs”, which the liberal-left loves to pretend has “failed”, has been fought much like the current war on Islamist terrorists, which is to say that almost nobody in power has or is taking it seriously.  If the Conservative government plans a war to be fought on that same basis, it will of course fail.
