“PROUD?” —PROJECT SUSPENDED

Proud To Be Canadian? Maybe Not.

Say something.

Keep going, or veer right

Canadian life: brought to you by your liberal-left government.

We all know about the state-run media in Canada.  And we can all see for ourselves the liberals’ sponsorship (wink!) image  logo on virtually every single Canadian-made movie or TV show—from cooking shows to anti-Bush and other anti-conservative documentaries to gay sex romps, and on banners at every festival and community even today.

I think Canadian citizens should create Canadian values and culture.  Not the government.  But then I’m not a liberal.

But it extends to most every facet of Canadian life.  Here’s a blurb I found at the beginning of a Canadian book.  It’s a commercial book publisher that’s been around for decades—getting government grants and supports the whole time.

The publisher gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Canada Council for the Arts; the Government of Canada through the Book Publishing Industry Development Program; and the Province of British Columbia through the British Columbia Arts Council for our publishing activities.

No surprise the book was very anti-globalization and was rather anti-corporate too of course.

I think I need to create a new thing:  a list of companies in Canada that DON’T rely to any extent on Canadian government “sponsorship” from a liberal government.  After all—they’re now working against an unfair advantage, and they need our support.

Some have to compete against their own government since left-wing socialist governments all across Canada see fit to compete against its own citizens with its state-run enterprises.  Others have to compete against companies that the state has deemed worthy of support—for some strange reason—and the state places bets on them in a variety of ways but always with our tax dollars.  It’s no mystery here—they’re trying to create a whole culture of dependence on government—that’s what socialists do.

But that list will have to wait until I get a few more hours in the day.

In the meantime, this blog entry is slightly different than usual:  it spawns an associated discussion forum entry instead of allowing blog comments here.  Check it out.  Everyone can read the discussion posts but only registered folks can post their comments—anybody can register to post.  It’s easy.  Takes 10 seconds.

Fend for yourself if you still remember how.
