Study finds national stereotypes don’t stand upAmericans are pushy and Canadians are pushovers, right?
Wrong, says a global study of how well national stereotypes match the self-perceptions of each country’s citizens.
[…] “Americans believe the typical American is very assertive, and Canadians believe the typical Canadian is submissive,” the researchers conclude. “But in fact Americans and Canadians have almost identical scores on measures of assertiveness, a little above the world average.”
Given this horrible news, the nine billionth in my series about Americans and Canadians being nearly indistinguishable from each other in contravention of the Liberal Party’s This Is Our Official Canadian Culture Dammit, Programme as administered by the CRTC with support from the obedient (subsidized and 
protected!) Canadian media, Canadian liberals will be required to start hating themselves and being anti-them in addition to anti-American. Damn pushy Canadians.
