Blood for…. I dunno. Sumthin’ ‘r other.

Liberals tell you that the war in Iraq is a “blood for oil” thing.  Americans simply want to steal all the Iraqi oil.  Well that and kill innocent Iraqis.  And to give a contract to Dick Cheney’s lesbian daughter’s father’s ex-employer Halliburton.  If I could extend the logic, the war in Bosnia and Kosovo (which also occurred without the sacred blessing of the magnanimous U.N.) was a “blood for potatoes” thing, since oil really wasn’t the main booty for the Americans to steal from them.  And yes, you’re right, Vietnam was a about the rice.  Blood for rice.

But strangely, even the radical Islamist extremist al-Qaida terrorists have a better handle on it.  These are the al-Qaida terrorists in Iraq that the liberals tell you aren’t there—since al-Qaida is in every country on the face of the earth except Iraq, see,  Iraq being about the oil, and killing children, and Halliburton, not democracy, not terrorism.  I hope we’re clear on that.

“We have declared a fierce war on this evil principle of democracy and those who follow this wrong ideology,” the speaker said. “Anyone who tries to help set up this system is part of it” – a clear warning to both candidates and those who choose to vote.

[…] The speaker warned Iraqis to be careful of “the enemy’s plan to implement so-called democracy in your country.”

[…] He railed against democracy for supplanting the rule of God with the rule of man and the majority, saying it was based on un-Islamic beliefs and behaviours such as freedom of religion, freedom of expression, separation of religion and state and forming political parties. […]
