Bill Clinton “misspeaks” re Hillary’s Bosnia “misspeak”

First it was liar, liar, Hillary’s pantsuit on fire.  Now it’s back to liar, liar, Bill’s pants on fire again, at least for this morning, but stay tuned as we are talking about Democrats—Clintons in this case.

Impeached President Bill Clinton, on the campaign trail for Hillary yesterday, decided it would be an ingenious tactic (he’s so smart!) to revive the erstwhile fading-from-memory Bosnia “sniper fire” lie controversy, which was started by Hillary as a result of her lie (but which Bill also took the opportunity to blame not on Hillary but on the media for reporting it.  Again, he is oh so smart, as we know).

He claimed that Hill was just tired—she’s old after all!  60!  And besides, he claimed, it was like 11:00 at night when she said that lie. So it’s OK.

“…And you woulda thought, you know, that she’d robbed a bank the way they carried on about this. And some of them, when they’re 60, they’ll forget something when they’re tired at 11 at night, too.”

Then, CBS News producer Ryan Corsaro, who covers Senator Clinton, chimed in with the inconvenient truth that she made the claim in mid-morning on St. Patrick’s Day.

CBS also has aired videotape of the senator making the claim on at least two other occasions, as the politico.com reports.

Here’s a YouTube video of Bill Clinton making the gaffe-ridden excuse.

But see it all depends on what your definition of the words “11 at night” is.
