Barbara Kay‘s column is posted in our Columnist section.
Don’t let anyone tell you Barbara Kay is a one-issue columnist. There’s no need to be circumspect about it, even. She can circumvent just about any opponent and circumnavigate any issue. No matter what the circumstance. And as always, her arguments are circumvallated.
Take today’s column, for instance. I’m not procrastinating over telling you about it, no, not at all. It’s called “Circumcision: vindicated at last”. Here’s a snippet, umm, (yikes!), if you will, so to speak, gulp:
The International AIDS Society will meet in Rio de Janeiro later this month. There, senior researcher Bertran Auvert, representing the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research, will announce official confirmation of what has been common knowledge in medical circles for years: that circumcision drastically reduces—by 70%, to be precise—the risk of contracting HIV through intercourse with infected women.
Circumcision: vindicated at last!
