It’s just not as exciting as it used to be.
Auditor-General Sheila Fraser’s regular reports on government spending during the Liberal reign of Canadian diminishment were most often replete with scandal and implications of fraud and total immorality.
Today, she says there’s, um, a backlog in processing the RCMP’s DNA evidence. A backlog. Well wake the kids and call the neighbors. A backlog, I tells ya.
Oh and foreign affairs staffers need better insurance. And other such stuff.
Woo.
Let’s revert to a blast from the past.
“This is such a blatant misuse of public funds.
It is shocking…Words escape me.”
Auditor-General of Canada, February 2004
On the Liberal Party’s so-called “sponsorship” program.
