Ashley MacIsaac won’t run for Liberal leadership

Darn the luck.  My favorite pick for Liberal Party leadership won’t run

The fiddler (and folk violinist) from some other planet told the throngs of media that follow him all over the other planet that he couldn’t find a campaign manager.  I’m guessing he just couldn’t find one that drank enough liquids.

But he’s not pissed about it.  He might even run in the next election for the Liberals.

“I’ll consider it at the time if there’s a seat available in Toronto to take part in,” he

peed

said.

… reminding me of this article I wrote in November 2004 which on reflection makes me wonder whom the Liberal Party wouldn’t allow to run for them—as their

leaker

leader or as a candidate.  And would the liberal media reporters just get used to the warm liquid running onto their shoes if MacIsaac won a seat?

In a separate issue but still on the subject of toilets and the quality of leadership of Ashley MacIsaac, a couple of so-called leadership guys working for a good honorable Catholic organization (one which still tries with all that it’s got in this difficult post-modern liberal world) to lead our youth along the straight and narrow, say that the good Catholic organization has decided to cancel a week-long annual Ontario Catholic Youth Leadership Camp for the kids.  The two guys in question led that camp, called the Ontario Catholic Youth Leadership Camp.

The two guys—who were employed by the Ontario Knights of Columbus organization to lead the young impressionable minds at the camp, recently admitted they were gay.  Now as we know, gay folks have absolutely never displayed ANY interest at all whatsoever in evangelizing folks about the positive values of the gay lifestyle—particularly not the very young folks, no, not at all.  Their homosexual lifestyles are kept to themselves, as we know, and are not explained over and over during what has become gay pride year (which is officially every year now), to anyone who will listen and to even to those who don’t want to hear about their gayness.  They like to keep all the gayness to themselves, in a nutshell.  So that can’t be an issue.

Certainly in Iraq they keep it quiet, as we found out recently.  But their captors were, as we know, not notably open to that whole “homo” thing.

Our two gay friends have managed to frame the cancellation of the leadership camp in an anti-gay accusation, and because it’s a story from gay people, the state-run CBC was obviously compelled to dutifully report the “news” story about what the gay homosexual activist and his boyfriend — both former Iraq hostages —said.  Anytime any liberal makes an accusation, the liberal media report it.

James Loney, one of the accusers, is the one who, along with what turned out to be his gay boyfriend, ungratefully nearly cost several Canadian, Brit and American soldiers their lives so that they could be in Iraq to spread their message of whatever you want to believe —in the newly free and democratic-in-the-making Iraq (the war for which Loney was against in the first place in a story mired in ironies and some would say outrageous hypocrisy).

Now he’s accusing the good Catholic organization, the Ontario Knights of Columbus, of cancelling the Ontario Catholic Youth Leadership Camp because the Knights are against two gay guys promoting a homosexual lifestyle to the dang straight li’l Catholic boys and girls.  Loney verifies all this by informing us:

Loney said he and his supporters struggled with the decision to go public with the allegations, but finally decided to come forward.

“We are doing this because we care about the church, we care about young people and we care about the kind of church they are coming into,” he said.

But he added, “We can’t prove this. This is a concern that we have based on the sequence of events.”

I believe they care about the church, and the kind of church the young ‘uns are coming into,  but I believe that they care about the church inasmuch as they care about molding it into another gay-promotion institution like the CBC.  Fortunately, the Catholic church is Pope-run, not state-run by a bunch of liberals.

Oh and boy oh boy: to top off gay day in the news today, the CBC adds this tidbit as if to prove that the gay leaders are worthy as Catholic leadership camp leaders…

Loney’s allegations come the same day he and his partner are to receive the “Fearless” award during a gala ceremony marking Pride Week 2006 in Toronto.

The award, which is also the theme of this year’s pride festivities, is for their perseverance during the four-month hostage ordeal.

Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty will present the award.

I think we should get a perseverance award.
