Beginning several weeks ago and continuing until recently, this website carried a piece taken from the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) website and relating to CTF’s Annual Teddies Waste Awards for the year 2005 in which it was alleged that Totem Hill Inc. was awarded an oral contract by the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs and Northern Development. Further, it was inferred in this piece that no paper work existed in relation to the contract and that no value was received for the fee paid.
CTF did, in April of 2006, delete this allegation from its website and apologize for and retract it and both ProudToBeCanadian and this website now also withdraw the allegation and inferences referred to in their entirety and acknowledge that they are unfounded and that no evidence exists to support them and both ProudToBeCanadian and this website hereby apologize, unreservedly, for any embarrassment, inconvenience or injury which Totem Hill Inc. has sustained as a result of the piece in question.
