Just in— After Team Obama hinted that they’re going to politicize the national Census Bureau —moving from the apolitical Department of Commerce where it has always been and should be—and into the White House (!) under the watchful and potentially manipulative eye of Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel’s extremely partisan eye (and Barack Obama’s watch), Obama’s pick for Secretary of Commerce has QUIT.
He also cited his disagreement with the Obama “stimulus” package.
ANOTHER Obama foul up.
Senator Judd Gregg made the announcement saying:
“…However, it has become apparent during this process that this will not work for me as I have found that on issues such as the stimulus package and the Census there are irresolvable conflicts for me. Prior to accepting this post, we had discussed these and other potential differences, but unfortunately we did not adequately focus on these concerns. We are functioning from a different set of views on many critical items of policy.
“Obviously the President requires a team that is fully supportive of all his initiatives.”
