And here’s ANOTHER statement you won’t hear on the CBC:

UPDATED with expected followup!  See below.
UPDATED again!

Hat tip to eagle-eyed PTBC friend Exile for catching this one line in a million in an al-Reuters article about another Islamofascist al-Qaida-terrorist-related story. This is the one in Somalia.  You know—Bush country.  Imperialist Somalia.

Scores of residents had fled Jowhar fearing an Islamist offensive. They had stopped leaving on Thursday.

“The town is much calmer. Residents are happy the Islamic militia have moved back,” Warsame said.

He said hundreds took to the streets there to support U.S. President George W. Bush’s statement of concern that Somalia should not become an al Qaeda safe haven.

“Local administration leaders vowed to continue fighting what they called ‘al-Qaeda in Somalia’,” Warsame said.

“Don’t be silly”, I imagine the state-run CBC liberal-left bureaucrats and news staff thinking, “they’re just so-called supporting George Bush and his ridiculous jibber-jabber about the so-called “global” war on terror”

UPDATE:

I couldn’t have been more right.  Not minutes after posting the above and a couple hours after my previous blog entry about today’s coverage on CBC, this popped-up:

Just now on the state-run CBC Newsworld subdivision secretariat, they somehow managed to find someone to interview in Canada (named Mohammad! Whaduyaknow!) who thinks that the Islamist takeover in Somalia might just be a good thing!

No, I’m not making this up.

The state-media covered the story on Somalia, then these words oozed out of the state-employed purveyor of facts…

Well mention ‘Islamists’ and the west thinks of ‘Al-Qaida’—the U.S. in particular is worried Somalia could become a new center of operations for Osama bin Laden.  On the other hand there ARE people who see the rise of the Islamic court’s militia as possibly a GOOD thing.  It might be able to END fifteen years of civil war!

Those were his exact words.

Then he introduced Mohammed.  He told us that Mohammed was a “Somali-Canadian”.  Gosh—a hyphenated Canadian!  Shocker!

Mohammed told us that most of the people in Mogadishu are “very happy” that the Islamists have taken over, and rid of the faction who was fighting the al-Qaida-related Islamists.

Lesson I got out of this from my state media:  Better red than dead?  No that’s so yesterday!  Better Dhimmi than dead!  So just sit back and let it be, man.  Chill, baby!

UPDATED AGAIN!

Over video of war mayhem in Iraq (of course!), the state-run CBC’s so-called “reporter” Allison Smith “reported” these exact words:

Even as the U.S. spoke of winning the so-called ‘war on terror’, another bomb exploded in a Baghdad market.  U.S. officials have been caught before claiming “victory” too soon, so every statement came with a caution.

No comment from Michael Moore—but who needs one?
