So far in my growing series proving that the far-left, socialism-reliant, capitalism is dead! channel, the state-owned CBC, is on a gloom ‘n doom FEAR MONGERING, economy-ruining, and recession-promoting capitalism is dead! tear, I’ve batted nearly a thousand on my bets (the one losing bet being a hilarious example of CBC’s Obama-butt-kiss stupidity in which they actually reported on a good news business story, crediting the not-yet-passed Obama “stimulus” bill for the good news!).
And so far today, the oxymoronic (emphasis: “moronic”) state-owned, socialism-reliant CBC’s “YOUR BUSINESS” segments on their Newsworld channel has not covered this huge news about what is, by far, one of Canada’s leading and most important retailers and the huge profits they’ve made in the last quarter. This is news which should be reported with huge fanfare even in normal times on the state-owned “YOUR BUSINESS” media, but particularly in these difficult times —times which the CBC helped create and perpetuate, as I see it.
Instead, the CBC’s “YOUR BUSINESS” segment is limiting almost all their “business” coverage about the “business” of their lefty hero Barack Obama and his increasingly socialist-like government’s newly announced multi-bazillion-dollar taxpayer bailout of home-owners who made idiotic mortgage and money-management and life decisions. That’s “business” to socialists.

Published: Wednesday, February 18, 2009Loblaw Cos. Ltd. said Wednesday a double-digit rise in food and drugstore sales helped propel the country’s largest grocer to a triple-digit rise in profit last quarter.
Brampton, Ont.-based Loblaw said net earnings increased 370% to $188-million (69 cents a share) in the 13-week period ending Dec. 29, compared with a gain of $40-million (14 cents) in the comparable 12-week period of 2007. Sales climbed 11.2% to $7.75-billion in the quarter, though Loblaw pointed out that the extra selling week in 2008 positively impacted sales by 7.9%.
The results far exceeded expectations, with most analysts anticipating earnings of between 35 cents and 36 cents a share.
