I meant to mention this before, but a few days ago I changed the site such that the “index” page is no longer named “index.php” but rather just “index” (without the .php).
The reason for this is complicated but mostly has to do with how Google spiders the site—Google apparently likes it better this way.
The drawback is that many people are not able to access the site anymore, because they’re using “index.php”. Also, links that other sites had to our site have stopped working; and of course the old RSS URL has ceased working because it follows suit—it is also now changed, dropping the “.php” extension following “index”.
So please adjust your links for the site itself, the links you have in your blogs etc (if that’s even possible), and the RSS feed if you’re using that.
Of course many people won’t even be able to read this because they don’t have the right link anymore. If a tree falls….
