Apparently the braintrust at the state-run CBC division of the Liberal Party’s “Newsworld” channel (possible official slogan in lieu of “Fair and Balanced”: “All libby-left, all the time, at taxpayer expense! Yummy!” ) has played the idiot card yet again.
QUEBEC—Play down separatism, focus on culture, lifestyle and joie de vivre, and bring in Mitsou, a former pop star, to host a show that wants to explain Quebec to English-Canada. The CBC believed it had found the right ingredients to capture an audience.
Instead, the choice sparked controversy, and the network was sideswiped by a flurry of criticism in the Quebec news media.
