In the very same Ottawa Citizen edition that lectures us today in their editorial —as if PTBC readers or the vast majority of normal Canadians need to be lectured on this point by the left-wing Canadian media— that “Seven years after the ordeal began, we need more than ever to remember why we are there and to recognize the importance of measuring progress, not just casualties,” they feature a close-up photo on their front page of the crying 4-year-old daughter of a slain Canadian soldier at her father’s funeral procession…. clutching her little Teddy bear.
Daddy’s finally home—they intone in their headline, as if channeling the 4-year-old’s personal thoughts. As if they have a clue.

Maybe the Ottawa Citizen should read my blog and pick on another ugly reality and get behind an “exit strategy” for it: For example, I imagine the CBC readers would comment, with regard to that poor girl: “THIS IS WHAT YOU DESERVE”.
(Hat tip to John E for the Ottawa Citizen article, which he understandably said made him sick to his stomach)
UPDATE:
Missed it earlier: National Post did the exact same today. Used same girl.
