Unemployment remained the same in Canada—that means it hasn’t improved, liberals—for the past three months. It’s holding steady at 7 percent.
Meanwhile, in the United States, where unemployment declined—that means it improved, liberals—it now stands at 5.2 percent. It was 5.4 percent in December.
Someone please pass me the matches such that I might set my hair afire, upon hearing news of this odious “jobless recovery” under the Liberal Party and Prime Minister Paul (“we lead the world”) Martin’s watch. This was, after all, the beck and call of liberals both here and there prior to President Bush’s historic election (in which he earned a popular vote much larger than Bill Clinton ever did).
OTTAWA (CP) – The jobless rate was 7.0 per cent in January, unchanged from December, Statistics Canada said Friday.
There were modest job increases in several sectors, including manufacturing, retail and wholesale and construction, but they weren’t enough to budge the overall rate.
It was the third consecutive month with little change in employment, the statistics agency said.
