Don’t worry liberals, this “Tory” slamming can easily be counteracted by the Liberals. For one thing, “Tories” aren’t on the ballot anywhere. So why would you Liberals or anyone else even care?
The editors might have gone with “CONSERVATIVES SLAM GRIT FISCAL PLAN”.
But what’s “slamming grits”? Sounds like a trendy new sex move or something. Hey someone get the CBC on the horn—they’d know!
It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. It would appear as though the Conservatives are slamming “GRITS”, which to most of us just sounds stupid and meaningless and a little bit painful.
So how about this: “CONSERVATIVES SLAM LIBERAL FISCAL PLAN”?
Hey. That almost makes sense, inasmuch as there are both Conservatives and Liberals on the ballot.
Perhaps it’s TOO clear.
