…or is he an insult TO all mankind?
VANCOUVER(CKNW/AM980)—The mayor of Vancouver isn’t mincing his words when it comes to the people opposed to the re-development of the old Woodwards building on the Downtown Eastside.
Some groups have complained 100 units of social housing isn’t enough.
Larry Campbell says he’s going to keep pushing for more, but says the groups opposing Woodwards—quote—‘need to start getting into the real world.’
He says the Downtown Eastside Residents Association doesn’t represent the community, and calls the Anti-Poverty Committee a ‘bunch of anarchists.’
Campbell says the Anti-Poverty Committee is a group that’s blown into Vancouver, and—in his words—‘should go blow someplace else.’
This is the same mayor who, during Canada’s elections last June (2004), called all Conservatives “barbarians”. Again: “barbarians”.
His political party is called COPE, which stands for Committee of Progressive Electors. It’s a party founded by Communists, in the 1970’s (no, this is not hyperbole, this is an actual historic fact). And it’s affiliated with the socialist NDP, which supports it financially and otherwise. So this neo-communist mayor now hates everyone, even his proletariat supporters.
What a builder.
