The odd time, we take a sandwich to YVR and sit at the east end of the north runway—squared right up at center runway—and watch the planes land above our heads. We’re astounded that we’re actually allowed to do that, with only the occasional security vehicle passing by checking for rocket launchers or whatever it is the hip terrorists use these days.
But in any case it’s cool.
