The Globe and Mail was downright apoplectic. I loved this line in the Gazette’s story on the matter, which to me really demonstrated more a case of personal identification and camaraderie than objective coverage—as if they’ve been in the fight right along with them, which it is, in my opinion, obvious they and all the liberal media have in fact been:
…While the Anglican result will please many conservatives in the church, it is a stinging setback for thousands of Anglican gay and lesbian worshippers and their champions, who have been pressing the issue for more than a decade…
Nonetheless, the liberals—both in and out of the Anglican church—have once again failed to change minds despite being such “champions” for the cause for more than a decade (slow learners: that means the conservatives were the “villains”—see?). This poll must also be a “stinging setback”.
