Bush nearly twice as popular as Democratic Senate leader

Putting more stats in perspective:  If you think President Bush is unpopular (and by way of friendly reminder, he’s not running for office again), just look at how the Democrats are faring.  Democratic House leader Nancy Pelosi’s mate in the Senate, Democrat Harry Reid, who also wears pant suits, polls at a whopping 19 percent favorability rating.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is now viewed favorably by 19% of American voters and unfavorably by 45%. Just 3% have a Very Favorable opinion while 22% hold a Very Unfavorable views.

Vice-President Dick Cheney polls at nearly twice the favorability rating.  Bush’s approval rating in polls is also much higher—more than 1½ times higher.  The Democratic-led Congress polls about the same as President Bush, at 33.8%.

Paris Hilton has a favorability rating of 12 percent.  So Reid wins over her.  But she’s in jail, and he’s trying to run the country.
