As we in the sensible set already know, abortion is the most egregious, disgusting, abhorrent thing ever thought of by humans.
In Canada, liberals have ensured that there is absolutely no law against or even limiting abortions in an way, shape, or form. They are allowed at any time in any pregnancy with no restrictions for any reason at all whatsoever, as many times as any woman decides she wants one, even if it’s just because she has a party to go to and doesn’t want to look pregnant —and all at taxpayer expense expense, of course. Women can have one at 4 weeks, 9 weeks, 18 weeks, or at nine months just moments before birth. It simply doesn’t matter to liberals.
There are over 100,000 abortions per year in Canada. Liberals don’t care.
Liberals even specifically encourage private abortion mills (they call them “clinics”), in a hideously hypocritical agenda-driven purely ideological aberration from their erstwhile socialist “two-tier private American-style healthcare is bad” mantra. Their liberal-leftist ideology is more important than human life itself.
Today, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on a ghoulish late-term abortion or partial birth abortion technique. It is banned as it should be. It’s a start.
Supreme Court Upholds Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court upheld the nationwide ban on a controversial abortion procedure Wednesday, handing abortion opponents the long-awaited victory they expected from a more conservative bench.
The 5-4 ruling said the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act that Congress passed and President Bush signed into law in 2003 does not violate a woman’s constitutional right to an abortion.

The opponents of the act “have not demonstrated that the Act would be unconstitutional in a large fraction of relevant cases,” Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in the majority opinion.
The decision pitted the court’s conservatives against its liberals, with President Bush’s two appointees, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito, siding with the majority.
Justices Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia also were in the majority.
It was the first time the court banned a specific procedure in a case over how — not whether — to perform an abortion.

The procedure at issue involves partially removing the fetus intact from a woman’s uterus, then crushing or cutting its skull to complete the abortion.
Abortion opponents say the law will not reduce the number of abortions performed because an alternate method — dismembering the fetus in the uterus — is available and, indeed, much more common.
That last bit was what I meant by saying “it’s a start”. And let’s not beat around the bush: the word they use in the article – “dismembering” – is a euphemism for beheading. They literally chop the head off the child. And then they throw the whole thing in the garbage.
Liberal Democrat Nancy Pelosi is against the Supreme Court ruling. Liberals are not believers in the culture of life. Conservatives are. Here’s some more examples:
Hillary Clinton is against the ruling. Barrack Hussein Obama is against it. He digs the late term abortions. John Edwards also is against the ruling.
On the sensible side, President Bush said that it affirms the progress his administration has made to defend the “sanctity of life.”
“I am pleased that the Supreme Court has upheld a law that prohibits the abhorrent procedure of partial birth abortion,” he said. “Today’s decision affirms that the Constitution does not stand in the way of the people’s representatives enacting laws reflecting the compassion and humanity of America.”
Conservative Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said:
“Today, our nation’s highest court reaffirmed the value of life in America by upholding a ban on a practice that offends basic human decency,” former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney said. “This decision represents a step forward in protecting the weakest and most innocent among us.”
Republican presidential candidate John McCain supports it.
Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) hailed the decision as “a victory for those who cherish the sanctity of life and integrity of the judiciary.” The senator added that the ruling also “speaks to the importance of nominating and confirming strict-constructionist judges who interpret the law as it is written, and do not usurp the authority of Congress and state legislatures.”
Even Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani supports it:
“The Supreme Court reached the correct conclusion in upholding the congressional ban on partial birth abortion,” Giuliani said in a statement on the 5–4 decision. “I agree with it.”
As I said, in Canada liberals continue to ensure that abortions can occur at any time in any pregnancy for any reason or no reason whatsoever all at taxpayer expense.
They’re “progressives”—so it won’t stop there.
