I’ve heard a Mr. Flaherty deliver a budget for the past while, but I heard the Conservatives were going to spit one out today. Still waiting.
Flaherty’s budget includes massive spending increases and no tax cuts across the board or for corporations despite the fact that we’ve all been massively overtaxed and have been giving far too much of our money to the state for years. It further builds up what is known in the sensible set as the bane of our existence, now and into the future, Canada’s future-killing socialist social programs. (Liberalvision is touting that as a positive, because that’s how liberals think). This Flaherty budget continues as the Liberals’ all did, which is to spend our money for us because they know better than us—we’re too stupid to keep our own money—and they’re smarter than us. (For more information, Google “Europe—slow death of” or “Soviet Union”).
So I’ll blog about the conservative budget when I hear it.
Positives I heard on liberalvision so far:
– basic infrastructure spending to help stop Canada from further falling apart.
– tax relief for families with children.
– pension income splitting.
– a disability savings plan.
– socialist Lorne Calvert, Premier of the barren and shrinking principality of Saskatchewan (a li’l bit of the Soviet Union right here in Canada!) rejects Flaherty’s budget out of hand. So that’s good.
– Liberal Frenchman Stephane Dion (a li’l bit of Euroliberal France right here in Canada!) is “hagain dis”. He also said “We will come wit amendment”. (Then he grabbed a hunk of cheese and nibbled on it for approximately 10 minutes).
– The Mayor of Toronto (a li’l bit of Liberal Party HQ right here in Canada!) rejects it too.
Still waiting for the tax cuts that conservative political parties stand for. Also for the cuts in government spending and for that smaller government for which Canadian conservatives vote Conservative.
