Oh you mean there are other countries fighting with the Americans?

One of the more revealing aspects of the liberal-left media’s yummy Iraq troop withdrawal stories (“Blair Confirms Troop Withdrawal for Us In The Liberal Media—yay!”) is that now that things are showing signs of improving there again, at least to the extent that troop withdrawal plans seem feasible from certain areas of the country, is the fact that the liberals’ media is forced to admit and acknowledge that America is not now and never was “acting alone” and “unilaterally” in Iraq.

For example, now that they’re withdrawing troops, the media has to admit that for example, Denmark has troops there.  And Japan.  And Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, El Salvador, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, South Korea, and others.  All of them acting “unilaterally” with America.

And all of the Canadian news media is breathlessly trying to portray this British troop (partial) withdrawal from Iraq story to imply that yup, the liberal-leftists and their media (that’s us!) were right, just as they/we were right-on about man-made global warming (and cooling, and staying roughly the same): America IS stupid; Bush IS wrong; war IS bad and we should just stop fighting what you “neocons” all call “terrorists” and “dictators” and “tyrants”, come what may (“come what may” being code for “a total loss” so that maybe liberals will get elected next time).

Britain will pull about 1,600 troops from Iraq within months, with an aim to pull out several hundred more by the end of the summer, Prime Minister Tony Blair said Wednesday.

“The actual reduction in forces will be from the present 7,100 — itself down from over 9,000 two years ago and 40,000 at the time of the conflict — to roughly 5,500,” Blair told the House of Commons.

Of course they begrudgingly have to include this annoying little caveat:  “The U.K. military presence will continue into 2008, for as long as we are wanted and have a job to do.”  —Prime Minister Blair.  That’s actually the most important part.

Canada should of course use this opportunity to send a strong signal to Islamofascist terrorists that the west is totally unrelenting and will never stop fighting—and step up as a nation right now to help win this war.  Of course liberals are against that on every level.  And if we lose this war, then one day you can ask them to explain all that to you over dates and camel milk.
