Sure there’s a news/politics crossover. Like when liberal-leftist Justin Trudeau might possibly perhaps could maybe run for a Liberal Party riding maybe in the future according to unknown “insider” rumors swirling about Ottawa’s sundry singles bars and poetry-reading cafés, that’s “hard news”, which is actually pure politics if you’re remotely sober.
When Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper makes a rather major commitment to attend a future United Nations forum on the (I’m told) ever so important environment and “man-made global warming” cult—particularly in today’s warmed-over global warming news crusade, that’s “politics” rather than hard news, if you’re rather high on pot.
