SIDEBAR: I do believe I coined a new phrase the other day in a blog entry (“Hot-House Human”) that as a result of this new story will be added to our official PTBC Lexicon.
Here’s a good setup for hot-house humans —reminder: they like a good feeding with pig manure twice a week!
When in a blog entry the other day I joked about the hideous Ontario Supreme Courts division of the liberal-left ruling that despite what you think, having two lesbian moms and one dad who “contributed” sperm to one of them to yield (what I called) a hot-house human is perfectly sacred and natural (I THINK this is what Svend Robinson and Irwin Cotler and other liberal-leftists call “a God-given human right”), and I said I “can’t wait for that first doggy/mommy hot-house boy”, little did I know that the scientist division of the liberal-left was already working on it, literally.
They’re actually trying to mix animal bits with human bits to make “hybrids”. They’re called “chimeras”, apparently. That’s an actual scientific name, which came from the mythological definition, to wit:
In Greek mythology, the Chimera … is a monstrous creature made of the parts of multiple animals. Chimera was one of the offspring of Typhon and Echidna and sister of such monsters as Cerberus and the Lernaean Hydra. Descriptions vary – some say it had the body of a goat, the tail of a snake or dragon and the head of a lion, though others say it had heads of both the goat and lion, with a snake for a tail. It is generally considered to have been female, despite the mane adorning its lion’s head. All descriptions, however, agree that it breathed fire from one or more of its heads.
Mommy! And Mommy! And Daddy! And Rover! I want me one o’ them chimeras! Could y’all get together somehow on that? Oh and an iPod!
Across the pond, the liberals have got their cotton whites in a knot over those damned ethical folks getting in the way of their quest to make animal/human embryos called chimeras. You know it’s true because the headline says they and their sacred work is “under threat”, to wit:

UK scientists planning to mix human and animal cells in order to research cures for degenerative diseases fear their work will be halted.
They accuse the body that grants licences for embryo research, the HFEA, of bowing to government pressure if it fails to consider their applications.
Ministers proposed outlawing such work after unfavourable public opinion.
PM Tony Blair said any new law would have “flexibility” to support scientific research that helped people.
He said there were “difficult” issues surrounding creating the embryos, which are more than 99% human but have a small animal component.
[99% ….for now —Joel].
He added: “I’m sure that research that’s really going to save lives and improve the quality of life will be able to go forward.”
[…] The new white paper says scientists will be able to push forward research in some areas, such as altering the genetic structure of cells that make embryos.
But government proposes prohibiting them from making human-animal hybrids or so-called “chimeras” – where genetic material is taken from humans and put into a host animal egg.
Here comes the human harvesting part—maybe we can celebrate this at Thanksgiving!
That is then allowed to grow to a very early embryo stage in the lab as a source of stem cells for research.
They left out the “killed, then harvested of stem cells” part. Oh well. What’s “facts” when you’ve got an agenda to drive?
As sensible people who aren’t drunk or high on crack know, embryonic stem cell research has provided exactly no cures or treatments, whereas adult stem cell research has yielded many cures and life-saving drugs. However, liberals never admit that—certainly not the liberal media, which always hides that fact—and they choose instead to mislead and obfuscate and push for that yummy human harvesting angle (um, without calling it that). Their way has a double-headed bonus—it helps them to promote the construct of reducing the value of life even further than they and some of you already do (thanks to their constant liberal-leftist tribal propaganda), and thus also helps promote their culture of death worldview which of course includes abortion —which liberals literally live for and love—and euthanasia, which they increasingly love as their parents age.
