Get a load of this fair and balanced and totally unbiased (if you’re far, far, liberal-left) Globe and Mail caption for their online photo of their hero, the infamous Bill Clinton, getting exposed as the rampaging defensive lout that he is on Fox News Channel last weekend (hat tip to Malcolm).
It’s not just the highlighted bit, it’s the choice quoting that they opted to post as part of their explanatory caption for the photo and story:
Bill Clinton went on the attack during a weekend interview with Fox News Sunday when interviewer Chris Wallace regurgitated GOP talking points accusing the former U.S. President of doing nothing to capture or kill Osama bin Laden before 9/11, saying “Do you think you did enough, sir?” Clinton responded forcefully: “No, because I didn’t get him … But at least I tried. That’s the difference in me and some, including all the right-wingers who are attacking me now. They ridiculed me for trying. They had eight months to try. They did not try. I tried. So I tried and failed. When I failed, I left a comprehensive anti-terror strategy and the best guy in the country, Dick Clarke, who got demoted. So you did Fox’s bidding on this show. You did your nice little conservative hit job on me … And you’ve got that little smirk on your face and you think you’re so clever. But I had responsibility for trying to protect this country.’
“…regurgitated”. “GOP talking points…”
Oh my goodness. You can’t make this stuff up. Well I mean obviously they can. But I can’t—and I don’t need to. This stuff writes itself.
