And note how in journalism classes today, journalists are apparently taught to describe public urination on sacred tombs encasing our war dead like the National War Memorial as… a “peeing incident”.
Criminal charge surfacing against war memorial ‘urinator’

There will be a case of criminal urination in the nation’s capital if a judge convicts a 23-year-old man in connection with the Canada Day peeing incident at the National War Memorial.
Ottawa police made their intentions known yesterday, announcing they will lay charges today against the man caught on camera allegedly relieving himself on the memorial. Two Ottawa teens also caught urinating on the landmark will escape criminal sanctions and will be dealt with through alternative justice measures.
Police yesterday didn’t release the name of the accused man, who lives outside the Ottawa area. A criminal charge of mischief is expected to be laid in court today.
Const. Steven Desjourdy said investigators discussed the incident with the Crown’s office before making a decision on how to proceed.
Well good on ‘em, but please, Constable Desjourdy, don’t bust my BS-ometer with lines like this:
Desjourdy said police didn’t bow to public pressure in laying the charge.
