The liberalvision CTV reporter Robert Fife, who yesterday on CTV television so inexplicably proudly and glibly uncovered the big “scoop” (his word) he had about the birthday gifts that Prime Minister Harper was bringing down to Washington for the President on his 60th birthday (and then told us what they were), stood up at the media briefing this morning (just seconds ago), and asked the President if he liked the belt buckle that Prime Minister had gifted to him.
The President, clearly embarrassed, explained that he hadn’t seen it yet. He hadn’t opened his gifts yet. But said he’s sure he’ll like it.
Go Fife. Tactless party-pooper. Robert Fife should get “the scoop” on the itinerary before using his unique opportunity to ask the President of the United States questions about the itinerary.
Meanwhile, the President referred to the Prime Minister as “Steve”. And clearly they are friends. Liberals are against that.
