Care of baby aborted after two days, left in plastic bag on street

People feign shock and disbelief, but I think people could be forgiven for seeing this—“Newborn girl found at bus stop”—as a sign of the times.  Just as taxpayer-funded abortions are encouraged in Canada, no questions asked—even right up to the ninth month and during delivery—some feel as though abortion should be tolerated after birth as well.

We hear about most of these stories only when they involve plastic bags and popular streets in the nice part of town.  I imagine it happens a lot more than we know.

Shock and disbelief gripped a toney Vancouver neighbourhood yesterday as news spread of a newborn girl abandoned at a bus stop.

“It’s shocking and sad,” said University of B.C. student Marjorie Sorensen, disembarking at the bus stop in the 3000-block West King Edward Avenue.

“People have their issues, but this seems pretty atrocious.

“It’s very weird—a strange idea, bizarre.”
