In Iran and several enclaves of moonbattery in the world, they end every speech with the words or at least the sentiment “death to America”. But it’s Stephen Harper’s “God bless Canada”, which he appends to every speech, that has the liberal-leftists in Canada upset.
“[Iran] will cut off the hand of any aggressor and leave the enemy covered in shame,” said Iranian President and resident nutbar Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, speaking at the annual Army Day celebration in Tehran, leaving out the fact that in any case, aggressive or not, he wants Israel and all Jews completely destroyed and slaughtered just, well, just because.
But Stephen Harper acknowledging that it’s probably better to go the diplomatic route, along with the U.S., will have him tarred and feathered—by virtue of the fact that he’s going along with the U.S. rather than opposing them.
[…] Speaking in Ottawa yesterday, Prime Minister Stephen Harper backed U.S.-led efforts to curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
“I think that our allies have a very serious concern when you see a regime like Iran with the kind of values it stands for, the kind of human rights abuses we’ve seen there,” Mr. Harper said.
[…] “I think our allies have a completely legitimate case in being concerned about a regime like that gaining access to nuclear weapons.”
[…] “Canada certainly will work with our allies to try and bring about a peaceful solution that does not leave the government of Iran in possession of nuclear armaments,” Mr. Harper said.
“Right now, the Americans are consulting with their allies and other permanent members of the Security Council on finding a peaceful solution, and I think that’s what we’d all prefer to see.”

I expect liberals on both sides of the border will be up in arms (not literally of course) over Harper’s extremist talk.
In the meantime, may God bless Canada. And the United States.
