That’s the headline I would expect to see in all those liberal-left newspapers in Canada, which is nearly all of them.
Somebody in the liberal media is lying—and it’s not just me saying that—it is the new Decima poll. All week I’ve been reading in the media about how the new Conservative administration and their popular support is already faltering—badly! — after one week! And how the honeymoon with the public “is already over”, and that they’re off to a “terrible”, “calamitous” start. It’s a mess! A mess, I tell you! If I understand correctly, the Conservatives are “in the gutter”, “failing” with the public which “has already turned against them”. Of course I’m just paraphrasing what they’ve said in the past week. They actually said that kind of thing and a lot more.
So a fella wouldn’t expect a headline like this:
Early controversy hasn’t hurt Tory support, poll suggests
This suggests a lie—or at least that something is very, very broken in the media.
The poll suggests that support for the Conservative Party remains at roughly election-day levels—despite the liberal-left media efforts to tarnish them over largely nonsense issues.
OTTAWA (CP) – […] The Decima Research survey of 1,010 adult Canadians, conducted between Feb. 9 and 13, suggests there has been no significant change in national support for the Tories.
Thirty-five per cent of respondents said they would vote Conservative, compared with 36 per cent who cast ballots on election day.
The poll put support for the Liberals at 25 per cent, down five percentage points from Jan. 23. […]
Maybe the media should give it up and get on board the good ship reality.
