Liberals are telling the media that they’re upbeat about their campaign and that they’re really proud of the positive message they’ve been putting out there.
The Toronto Star captures
the monster
the moment:
Team Martin’s Liberal campaign can go nowhere when it comes to dealing with news items like this from the Globe and Mail:
[…] The poll, conducted by the Strategic Counsel for The Globe and Mail-CTV News, shows that 66 per cent of those surveyed say it’s time for a change and a new government needs to be voted in, a number that has jumped from 54 per cent at the beginning of the campaign. […]
…because they’ve already scraped the bottom. They’d go lower if they could. Then again they’re a creative bunch so anything could happen.
Greg Weston at Sun Media said it very well this morning in his piece:
It is four days before election day, and a frighteningly wan Paul Martin is in southwestern Ontario sounding like ‘Comical’ Ali, the laughable Iraqi military spokesman who kept declaring victory for Saddam’s army even as American tanks were rolling through the streets of Baghdad.
Which reminds me of this little graphics which I use at every opportunity:
