He’s in favor of an elected senate, now, suddenly.
Well of course he is. It’s a popular Conservative Party idea.
No word on what type of bones he likes to chew on as Stephen Harper’s bloated poodle.
Here’s a huge story about it in the liberal-left Globe and Mail (Bell Globemedia, same owners as CTV). It’s in excess of 100 words long. That’s slightly longer than the Christmas cards my wife and I are sending out this year!
Prime Minister Paul Martin said today he favours an elected Senate.
Martin met students at Princess Margaret high school in suburban Vancouver to talk about problems with drugs and gangs, and his proposal to ban most handguns.
But one student asked if he would support an elected Senate to replace the current system of appointees.
Martin said he likes the idea of an elected Senate, but not before it is reformed to give the provinces fairer representation.
As an example, he said British Columbia would be shortchanged if the current Senate makeup was used to determine the number of elected senators for each province.
Apparently the liberal-left mainstream media ran out of typewriter ribbon and could not explain nor even mention this hideous Liberal Party flip-flop and mimicking of Stephen Harper policy dating back many many years.
